Pre-Paid Funeral Services

Peace of mind Pre-Paid Funeral Services

Ninness Funeral Home is one of the leading pre paid funeral plan providers in Wellington, Porirua, Kapiti Coast and Tawam. We offer a range of prepaid funeral services and plans that can be tailored to suit you. Contributors to the Ninness FDANZ Pre-Paid Funeral Trust can have the peace of mind of knowing that the costs towards their funeral are covered.

Providing towards the cost of a funeral in advance ensures any awkwardness or embarrassment to relatives as the result of funeral expenses is avoided.

After the funeral, Ninness Funeral Home will issue a funeral invoice.  If there is any shortfall in funeral expenses a further invoice will be issued for payment. Any surplus funds after payment of funeral expenses will be refunded.

Exemption from Means-Testing

A pre-paid funeral plan assists elderly contributors who may be in a rest home, or are contemplating moving into one. Government rules provide for an exemption of $10,000 from a person’s assets for prepaying a funeral and related expenses.

This amount is not included in a person’s assets being means-tested for rest home subsidies.

Interest

Interest is paid monthly at the rate of 2.25% and is not compounding. This rate may vary from time to time.

Fees

A one off entry fee of $100.00 will be deducted from the payment/s. And a final fee of $100 when funds are paid out.

There is a monthly administration fee of $3.50 but this is offset by interest payments when the total amount deposited is over $2,200.00. And a $15 installment fee for non automatic payments.

No commission or other payment is received by Ninness Funeral Home in relation to a pre-paid funeral. Also. its employees do not provide any financial or investment advice.
